“A Pugs Life – The Dogumentary” is a fast and fun filled 45 minute film by award winning filmmakers Marilyn and Chuck Braverman. The “Dogumentary” covers pugs and their owners in California, New York, and London.

Frank, the pug star in "Men In Black," is featured along with his trainers who tell us about pug training and what it takes to be a star in the world of Hollywood films. Lexi is a pug owned by a precocious nine year old girl who with her parents have taken their fawn around the world. The dog show scene is filmed featuring world renowned pug breeder Blanche Roberts and her award winning dogs. We learn some her show winning secrets and hear about importing pug semen from Sweden to breed the best dogs. "Ices" is the prize bitch stolen out of a handlers trailer during a dog show and the dogumentary tells the dramatic rescue story. “Pug Hill” in New York’s Central Park gives us a feel for this weekly pug gathering spot along with the Lower Manhattan six story doggy day care center called “Biscuits and Bath.” Briget Berlin was an independently wealthy long time associate of Andy Warhol who always brought her several pugs to the Warhol studio. Today she lives in her New York apartment surrounded by pug art and her beloved pugs “India” and “Africa.”

The Bravermans have been nominated three years in a row by the Directors Guild of America for Best Documentary and won in 2001 for "High School Boot Camp." They were also nominated for an Academy Award® for another documentary, "Curtain Call" that same year. Braverman Productions' "Season of the Grizzly" will premiere on Animal Planet May 15th.
